Student (Youth) Ministry Pastor/Director
The Student Ministry’s primary purpose is to introduce students to Christ, encourage their spiritual growth, and equip them to serve Him with their lives. Of equal importance is partnering with parents and guardians as they guide their teenagers toward healthy, Christ-centered maturity. The Youth Pastor/Minister also provides oversight, support, and leadership for all activities, volunteers, and programming entrusted to the Student Ministry.
This position will develop, lead, and oversee the Student Ministry (6th–12th Grade), which currently engages approximately 80 students on a weekly basis. This will be accomplished by creating environments, programs, and experiences that inspire, encourage, challenge, and grow students in their faith journey. This includes planning weekly gatherings, small groups, discipleship pathways, retreats, service opportunities, and outreach events that help students know and follow Jesus. This position must build relationships with students, equip and shepherd up to 15 volunteer leaders, and cultivate a Christ-centered culture where students feel known, valued, and spiritually supported.
Qualified candidates must possess demonstrated experience working with youth, and prior Youth Ministry experience is preferred. The ideal candidate who also brings strategic, visionary leadership that strengthens the direction, health, and long-term impact of the Student Ministry will be highly valued. Equivalent education or a relevant college degree may be considered in lieu of direct ministry experience.
This is a full-time, exempt position compensated on a salaried basis. The role includes a defined minimum starting salary within a broader compensation range. Final salary and job title will be determined based on the candidate’s education, relevant experience, and ordination, licensing, or credential status.
Normal working hours are Sunday through Thursday; however, these rhythms may shift as the candidate faithfully walks alongside students, particularly for Wednesday evening gatherings and opportunities to be present at school activities. Flexibility is expected as part of shepherding students well and engaging meaningfully in their world.
